After completing this course, participants will be able to:
• Express detailed definitions and appropriate language usage about sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression
• Describe how assumptions and implicit bias may accompany the use of language and definitions, and give examples of how that can impede compassionate and quality interactions.
• Demonstrate cultural competency with gender-diverse and sexual orientation-diverse families and youth.
